Soundjourneys

Come and explore my Sanctuary of Sound

Rest, Listen and Receive

An invitation to gently surrender your body to the earth, soften your mind, and allow your spirit to receive sound.

Drop into the presence where nothing is required of you except to rest, listen, and simply be.

The Healing Qualities of Sound

Born from my intentions and a place of stillness and wholeness.

I offer sound from a place of connection, harmony, purity, and love. These intentions infuse the sounds and vibrations I am creating, so as to support your nervous system to unwind, to calm the mind, and to create space for restoration, integration, and inner balance.

Soundbath or Soundjourney?

Many people ask about the difference between a soundjourney and a soundbath. In truth, the experience is shaped by your intention. You may choose to relax and receive, allowing the sounds to wash over you like a bath, nourishing every cell of your being. Or you may feel called to journey inward, letting the vibrations guide your awareness toward places of insight, memory, or deep stillness.

Instruments and Live Sound Weaving

Each session is a live, intuitive weaving of sound using a variety of instruments, including chimes, (river) drum, flute, singing bowls, my voice, and shruti box, as well as harp, violin, and piano. At the heart of the experience is my loop station, which allows layers of sound to gently build into an immersive tapestry. These frequencies resonate with different aspects of your physical, emotional, and energetic body, creating a deeply nurturing and multidimensional experience.

Sensory Integration and Gentle Return

A core part of the journey is also sensory integration. The session begins with subtle aromatic oils to support grounding and relaxation (optional). At the end, you will be offered a warm cup of tea, brought to your mat, allowing you to return slowly and gently, carrying the sense of calm and connection with you.

Session Frequency and Seasonal Offerings

I offer soundjourneys regularly, with sessions approximately every two weeks during the peak summer season. I also hold seasonal soundjourneys aligned with the Celtic Wheel of the Year, offering moments to pause, reflect, and deepen your connection with your personal intentions in harmony with the rhythms of nature.

Frequently asked questions

If you have any questions, please ready the Q&A section below, or contact me directly if your question isn’t covered. I’m always happy to connect.

What sound healing training informs your soundbaths/journeys?

I completed a 100-hour Nada Yoga (Yoga of Sound) training with the Himalayan Academy of Sound Healing, deepening my understanding of sound as a healing practice. I also completed a two-week intensive Healing Voice Diploma in September 2024 with Harmonic Sounds in Spain, exploring the voice as a powerful tool for healing.

In addition, I studied at the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance, and learned the piano and violin as a child. Later, the harp became my primary instrument, which continues to be at the heart of my soundwork today.

Are your soundbaths/journeys suitable for everyone?

If the description above resonates with you, then yes - you are welcome to join.

Most public sound baths are designed for adults and often specify an age minimum of 16 or 18. This is mainly due to considerations such as volume, duration, the need to lie still for an extended period, and the emotional depth some participants may experience.

My soundjourneys are gentle and inward-focused. As long as you feel comfortable lying down and resting in stillness for most of the session, younger participants are also warmly welcomed.

If you have any other health issues or concerns, please feel free to get in touch so we can ensure the space is right and supportive for you. For example, if you have a hearing impairment, we can arrange for you to be positioned closer to the instruments so you can be fully immersed in the soundjourney.

Can I drop in and pay in cash?

Booking is essential to secure your place, as spaces are limited. If you prefer, you can also send me a message to confirm your attendance for a specific date and pay in cash at the beginning of the session.

Can I get a refund if I need to cancel my booking?

If you need to cancel, your booking can be transferred to a future session. Alternatively, you may offer your place to a friend, as long as you let me know in advance.

Do I need to bring anything with me when coming to your soundjourney?

Good question - yes. To help you feel comfortable in the space, I ask that you bring a yoga mat, along with a pillow and thin blanket if you’d like. I also recommend bringing a blindfold or a scarf that you can fold over your eyes, so you can fully relax without visual distractions or light entering your eyes.

Please also be mindful that the body can cool down during periods of stillness on the mat, so be sure to bring enough layers to stay warm and comfortable throughout the session.

"Carolin created a space in which beauty, sound and silence intermingled in such a way that I could fully relax, rest and feel nourished.  The physical space and the session were beautifully prepared and held."

I would love to play for you or meet you at any of my other events.
